Plasma scalp protocols for fuller-looking hair and a comfortable scalp.
Non-invasive 4th state plasma energy supports a clean, comfortable scalp and the appearance of fuller, healthier-looking hair — a professional cosmetic protocol for licensed providers using the CAP 4th State Fusion platform.
Why hair looks thinner — and where plasma protocols fit.
Hair that looks full depends on a scalp that is clean, comfortable, and well cared for. Our protocols focus on that scalp environment and on the appearance of the hair itself — a cosmetic result, session by session.
Hormones such as DHT, estrogen, and testosterone influence the natural hair cycle, which is why the look and feel of hair changes over time.
Build-up on the scalp leaves it feeling congested and uncomfortable, which is why scalp cleanliness and comfort are the focus of every session.
Nutrition and everyday stress both show up in how hair looks and feels over time.
Everyday lifestyle factors can change the natural hair cycle, affecting how full hair appears.
Anagen → Catagen → Telogen → Early Anagen.
Active growth phase — the follicle produces hair for 2–7 years.
Short transitional phase where growth stops and the follicle shrinks.
Resting phase — hair remains attached while a new hair begins forming below.
The follicle re-enters growth; old hair sheds as the new shaft emerges.

How the plasma treatment works.
- 1Plasma energy is generated in the air between the device tip and the scalp.
- 2The scalp surface becomes more receptive, supporting absorption of the topical serums used in the protocol.
- 3The session leaves the scalp feeling clean, refreshed, and comfortable.
- 4Regular sessions support a well-maintained scalp environment.
- 5Paired with the scalp serums, the protocol is designed for the appearance of fuller, healthier-looking hair.
Provider protocol — start to finish.
- Client arrives with clean, freshly washed and fully dried hair — zero product in the hair or on the scalp.
- No mousse, gel, wax, or hairspray applied before treatment.
- Disinfect the treatment zone with an alcohol swab and allow the alcohol to fully evaporate.
- Use a wide-tooth comb to lift the hair and expose the scalp before gliding the device tip.
- Use PULSE mode for 10 minutes over an area the size of one hand.
- For clients with a dry or flaky-feeling scalp: 5 minutes Continuous mode first, then 5 minutes Pulse.
- Work in one direction first (front-to-back), then follow with side-to-side (ear-to-ear) passes.
- Glide slowly to maintain contact and generate the correct plasma-ion-ozone dose.
- Finish by applying scalp serum directly to the scalp — the skin remains highly absorbent for 12 hours post-treatment.
- Course: 10–12 in-clinic sessions, 2–3 times per week.
- Once the client is happy with the look: reduce to twice weekly, then weekly, then fortnightly, then monthly maintenance.
- Scalp serum is continued long-term to maintain the look of the results.
- Do not shampoo or apply anything to the scalp for 24 hours.
- Restart scalp serum 48 hours post-treatment — at least once between services.
- Post-course: apply scalp serum 2–3 times per week to preserve results.
- May be combined with LED scalp/face protocols.
At-home scalp support.
A supervised at-home routine layers on top of the in-clinic protocol to protect results between visits.
- Clean hair and scalp — washing is not required if no styling product is present.
- Apply a few drops of hair serum (max 1ml) before bed, 3× per week.
- Massage in with fingertips or use a thickening brush; the serum spreads easily.
- Let the serum absorb overnight — no need to stamp during an active in-clinic course.
- Twice weekly on alternating days, apply serum and lightly stamp using the 0.25mm micro-channeling stamp.
- Continue between monthly maintenance visits.
- Clean the micro-channeling stamp with sanitising spritz before and after every use.
- Do not wash hair for 12–24 hours after home treatment.
